Crater Lake is located in the south-central region of the U.S. state of Oregon. This beautiful lake is the result of a volcano Mount Mazama which erupted around 7,700 years ago, lava eruptions later created a central platform where water collected. Crater Lake of national park is famous for its deep blue color and extremely clear water. Interesting part of the Crater Lake is “Old Man of the Lake“, a full-sized tree that has been standing vertically in the lake for more than a century, it is very well preserved due to the cold weather. Varieties of fish thrive in this lake.
